Repairing Etch Marks on Polished Marble, Limestone or Travertine
Repairing Etch Marks on Polished Marble, Limestone or Travertine
Acidic liquids such as fruit juice, wine, vinegar, salad dressings, drinks and some household cleaning products will actually dissolve the surface of marble, limestone, travertine, terrazzo etc.
The marks will show up as a dull area on a polished surface, possibly with a reduction in the colour of the stone where the damage is.
On polished stones containing calcium such as marble, limestone and travertine you can use Renue to repair such etch marks.
You cannot prevent such marks occuring but you can reduce them significantly be sealing the stone with MN Stain Stop.
Maintain polished surfaces with Brilliance.
